Bet the Giants didn’t know they couldn’t win. Bet the Patriots suspected they couldn’t lose. However, there’s a ticker tape parade tomorrow, and it’s in NYC.
Trite but true, and rarely demonstrated so well as last night’s game- it ain’t over til it’s over. If you have doubts about your ability to win the game of building a successful law practice and life- walk away from them. Forward motion.
If you plan and do the work, keep the faith and get the support you need, you are going to reach your goals. If you’re a wild card player- doesn’t matter. If you’re in practice for yourself because you didn’t get the biglaw job you thought you wanted- doesn’t matter. What matters is that you have what it takes and you do what it takes. Figure that out and play hard with the intention of winning.
Right now: take inventory- what would it take for you to be sure you’re going to win, not just survive, really win?
ready, set, GO! barbara
Note to reader- it’s impossible to be a “coach” and not use sports analogies. I’m pretty good at avoiding them- but last night’s game was so spectacular, I can’t help myself. It would have been so easy for the Giants to give up, yet they didn’t. They wanted the championship. They took the championship. They had the skills, the preparation and the attitude. Now they have the ring.
