3 Month Goal Planner

A deadline can be very motivating. Who doesn’t think more about a goal and work harder to achieve it as the deadline approaches? Have you ever been astonished at how much you’ve done in record time to meet a critical deadline?

Use the energy that a deadline gives to your benefit by setting deadlines for your goals. If you’re someone who postpones working on a goal until the deadline approaches, then setting shorter goals should result in getting more done over time. Use a timeframe of three months. Ninety days. Enough time to accomplish something meaningful and far more motivating than six months or a year.

If you’re still reading, chances are something came up for you when you read the title of the post. Time to name it. If you could wave a realistic magic wand, what would you want to change or achieve in the next three months? Choose something you know is possible, it would be really exciting, but you just haven’t tackled it yet. Note that last sentence started with “choose”- and it is an ACTIVE verb.

Write your goal down, describe it, visualize it. As the title says, imagine it’s three months from now- what’s different?

Action step: Choosing, naming and setting a deadline for your goal is the first step. Once that’s done- shift gears and plan the key actions you need to take to achieve results.  Use the 3 Month Goal Planner at the top of the post to help you get started.
